ABOUT LEON...

Leon brings more than two decades of international leadership and strategy consulting experience to REACT Humanitarian Network, helping shape the organisation through leadership coaching, strategic direction, and the development of cultures built on trust, resilience, and sustainable habits.
At the heart of his contribution is the philosophy of Ubuntu—a Southern African belief that means “I am because we are.” This conviction underpins a commitment to ensuring that every person, particularly those who are marginalised through real or perceived disability, is recognised for their inherent dignity, worth, and potential. For Leon, humanitarian work is not simply about responding to need; it is about strengthening the communities that enable every individual to flourish.
Leon’s approach combines thoughtful strategy with decisive action. We believe that when people are in need, progress matters more than perfection—that it is better to move forward with the handbrake down than to remain stationary while searching for the perfect route. By helping REACT develop confident leaders, clear strategic direction, and strong foundations of trust, Leon support the organisation in turning compassion into practical, lasting impact.
Leon sees REACT as a living expression of Ubuntu: bringing together people with different gifts, experiences, and perspectives in the shared belief that we are at our strongest when we serve one another.
