Richard has Mild Hydrocephalus and Arnold Chiari Malformation which means for the past 6 years, he has suffered a build-up of fluid in the cavities (ventricles) deep within the brain in excess. The excess fluid increased the size of the ventricles and puts pressure on his brain. Doctors said the pressure of too much cerebrospinal fluid associated with hydrocephalus
can damage his brain tissues and cause a range of impairments in brain function therefore Richard requires an urgent blood augmentation procedure to address his situation. Richard has been on the waiting list for years due to lack of funds and his situation is worsening such that, he struggles to naturally ease himself and as a result often times defecate and urinates on himself. Upon further assessment this month, doctors agreed to conduct the operation for Richard at a discounted price of 6000 Ghana Cedis (£1200 equivalent). This kind gesture has left Richie’s mum Safia restless as she is struggling to raise the money. Her only hope she told REACT is to borrow if she can find a lender and pay in whatever way she can afterwards. REACT is there to support but due to limited resources we are unable to relief the burden on both mum and son and require support.
Please help get Richard the medical intervention he requires in other for him to realise his dream of becoming a Banker.

Given his challenges, Isaac volunteers to teach children in his local community Mathematics at his leisure times. Isaac is mentally and physically able and on course to achieve his dream.
Nonetheless, his biggest obstacle is funding as his parents are ordinary peasant farmers and cannot afford to support him although they share his passion.
At REACT, it is our dream to ensure that by 2030 all disabled children in vulnerable communities in Ghana are “functionally literate and productive” and ISAAC fits into our dream. We want to support Isaac but due to limited resources our provisions may not be enough.

Although Paul smiled at me when I called his name and shook his hands, the big smile was from the fact that he was out in fresh air because his Dad took a day off work unpaid just to meet REACT and explained Paul’s situation to us. All Paul needs now apart from general support according to his Dad is a decent wheelchair which will allow him to be pushed out daily to enjoy some fresh air like his peers.
REACT kindly request a wheelchair donation either in kind or cash. Please call 01235244801 or click donate below to donate towards Paul’s cause.
Thank you in advance for your support.

and transports are not regular.
