Abena Ofei-Agyemang is a Trustee of React Humanitarian Network and a Senior Social Work Practitioner working with Children and Families. She has extensive experience supporting vulnerable children, young people, and families, including children with disabilities, and is committed to safeguarding their welfare, promoting inclusion, and ensuring they have opportunities to reach their full potential.

 

Throughout her career, Abena has championed the rights of children with disabilities and understands the vital role that education, family support, and access to appropriate services play in improving life outcomes. Her professional experience aligns closely with React Humanitarian Network’s commitment to promoting inclusive education, reducing barriers to learning, and supporting children through practical interventions, financial assistance, and advocacy.

 

In addition to her social work expertise, Abena brings experience in events management, journalism, and working with vulnerable adults, enabling her to contribute strategic insight, effective communication, and community engagement to the organisation.

 

As a Trustee, Abena is passionate about advancing evidence-based humanitarian initiatives that empower children with disabilities, strengthen families, and create lasting opportunities through education, rehabilitation, and inclusive community development.
