UK NGO REACT SUPPORTS EDUCATION IN EKURABADZE COMMUNITY
REACT donates books to a school in Ekurabadze
United Kingdom based charity, REACT Humanitarian Network has donated large quantities of assorted books and learning materials to pupils of the Catholic Basic School at Ekurabadze in the Mfantsiman District in the Central Region of Ghana.
The items are intended to facilitate teaching and learning and particularly aimed at improving the reading habits of children.
They were handed over to the school by the Country Director of Charity Trust Africa, local partners of REACT Humanitarian Network, Emmanuel J.K Arthur who commended staff of the school for their dedication to duty.
He also lauded REACT for helping to improve literacy in many communities in Africa through their book aid scheme.
“By the generous support of REACT, a child in this village could have his or her dream fulfilled through these teaching and learning materials”, Mr Arthur said.
Receiving the donation, the Assistant Headmaster of the school, Isaac Bechem was grateful for the gesture.
The Assemblyman for the area, Emmanuel Kofi Arthur said the donation would go a long way to assist teaching and learning and commend both the Charity Trust Africa and REACT for as he put it “prioritizing these young people in such deprived environment “.
