REACT DONATES HEALTHCARE EQUIPMENT TO SUPPORT UNVIERSITY OF WINNIBA HOSPITAL

REACT on Thursday 5th  August 2021 donated assorted healthcare equipment worth £17000 to the Winniba University hospital in the Central Region of Ghana. The items which have been in our storage since 2019 were donated to REACT by Millbrook Healthcare UK and collected over 6-month period by Trustees.

Presenting the items REACT’s Country Representative, Mr. Duke Banson reminded Ghanaians that our organisation’s work is spread in most regions in Ghana and currently supports over 100 disabled children in the country from primary school up to university and that this donation forms part of honouring our social contract with some of societies’ most vulnerable.  Mr. Banson said REACT will expand our support base to the University and hope to adopt a ward in the hospital as a channel of sustainable support and collaboration between our two institutions.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University Rev. Fr. Professor Anthony Afful-Broni   expressed the university’s appreciations and promised to follow up on REACT’s promise to engage further to explore more areas of support. He assured REACT that the items will enhance the hospital’s operations.
