The partnership between REACT and the Nsawam Orthopedic Centre (OTC) continues to strengthen as REACT sends more donations to support OTC’s amazing philanthropic work. Since REACT CEO’s visit in 2023, this marks the third donations comprising books, clothes and toys that REACT has sent to the Centre and will continue to send more.
Receiving the donations, the Centre director, Sister Elizabeth Newman recounted their history to REACT’s Ghana team to underscore the importance of OTC’S work over the years and the need for support like ours in sustaining the long-term existence of the Centre. Sister Elizabeth highlighted some of the common causes of illnesses resulting in permanent disabilities and stressed the importance of Government and Civil society intervention to support children and parents.
REACT CEO Prince Osei Akowuah in a remote message said the donation was to reinforce REACT-OTC partnership and also compliment the good work the Centre does which aligns with REACT’s values. Prince hoped that REACT-OTC partnership will continue to support each other’s work for the good of humanity and pledged REACT’S unwavering backing in long term.
