PRINCE OSEI AKOWUAH (FOUNDER & DIRECTOR)

HUMANITARIAN PERSONNEL, MEDIA PROFESSIONAL & HUMAN RIGHTS ADVOCATE.

PROFILE: Father of 3, Prince is a Humanitarian Professional with interest in Build Back Better in Post Disaster Shelter and Disabled child education. He is also an ardent  Human Rights advocate and writes to influence public policies in the field. Prince is also a Communication & Media Professional with keen interest in the role of the media in educating society’s most vulnerable.  To fulfil his passionate commitment to humanitarian work, Prince undertook studies in International Relations and International Human Rights Law to gain an in-depth knowledge in the law within the field of Global Humanitarian Response. To explore further into this humanitarian passion he has travelled to Tacloban, Philippines (Field visit) & Leogane, Haiti (Research study) to under study the impact of disasters and peoples' resilience to build back better post-disaster. He enjoys  Formula 1, Football, reading Political commentaries and Social Research.

Academic Qualifications

Prince holds an MA in Development & Emergency Practice (Oxford Brookes), BA (Combined Honours) in International Relations, Communications, Media & Culture (Oxford Brookes University) and other qualifications from most notable Ghanaian institutions.

Undertakings
Prince currently aside managing REACT works for the UK Office for National Statistics Social Survey Department. Before moving into the UK from Ghana, Prince worked as a qualified Journalist  for Ghana Broadcasting Corporation and Kapital Radio all in Kumasi, Ashanti region  as a News Reporter. In the UK Prince has worked as a Freelance Interviewer for NatCen Social Research, Legal Field data collection officer for NextGen Simple Legal solutions. He also worked with the British Red Cross as a Refugee Support Caseworker and volunteered with the Disaster and Emergency Response department (British Red Cross). He additionally worked at Unipart Logistics in Oxford, UK and has over 10 years experience in the sector. Prince also has retail experience from B&Q and Focus Retail Groups where he worked as  customer service adviser in various departments.
